September: Talent management

This month is all about talent. We'll be investigating unusual as well as the more usual talent pools, from Gen Y to older employees and also exploring how the public sector is faring with the expecting talent exodus. After the recession, has the 'War for Talent' begun again in earnest? And should we even call it a 'war', or is that a completely innapropriate term?

On the more basic side, how do you find talent? How do you know when someone's got talent? And how far would you go to keep it?

I hope to provoke some discussion and hear from you on these challenging and fascinating subjects.

If you have any examples of great or bad talent management do let me know by emailing editor@hrzone.co.uk or feel free to contact me on Twitter @hrzone if you want to get in touch.

With warm wishes,

Charlie Duff, Editor
