Can an employer cover a Maternity Post which is currently graded as a staff level with a person who is of a higher management level? Is it deemed fair to pay the person covering the position a higher salary & benefits even though they are covering the exact same job description & requirements of the person who is on Matrenity Leave & is paid significantly lower salary and benefits?
