9th December 2009 – Business applications software provider, COA Solutions (www.coasolutions.com), today announces a partnership with independent software solutions provider, Software Europe Ltd (www.software-europe.co.uk). COA Solutions will now be able to provide its NHS customers with Software Europe’s leading online employee expenses management system, expenses2010. Tailored towards the needs of NHS organisations, expenses2010 enables greater control over staff expenses, complementing COA Solutions’ comprehensive suite of business applications.

expenses2010 is an easy-to-use and intuitive expenses management solution, enabling staff to input their travel and subsistence expense claims online. Developed in partnership with the NHS, expenses2010 meets the complex needs of NHS organisations including aiding compliance with Agenda for Change. For example, the solution ensures staff are claiming what they are entitled to inline with the relevant Agenda for Change policy. Improved transparency of employee expenses, more streamlined expense management processes and reduced costs are just some of the many benefits NHS organisations achieve by using expenses2010.

As expenses2010 seamlessly interfaces with the Electronic Staff Record (ESR), this removes the need to re-key and manually check data, leading to approximately 60% back office efficiency savings. Furthermore the bi-directional ESR interface, automatically synchronises personnel details between the two systems, eliminating the need for manual administration.

Peter Leigh, Health Sector Sales Manager from COA Solutions, says, “At a time when the NHS is bracing itself for significant budget cuts, it’s vital for NHS organisations to more closely monitor expenditure whilst cutting costs. This web-based employee expense management system provides our NHS customers with an accurate, reliable and effective means of managing staff expenses whilst delivering significant back office efficiency savings.”

Neil Everatt, Managing Director from Software Europe, comments, “With the company’s strong foothold in the UK business applications software industry and its excellent understanding of the NHS market, we’re delighted to be partnering with COA Solutions. Our employee expense management system perfectly complements COA Solutions’ applications suite, providing NHS organisations with a comprehensive portfolio of ‘best of breed’ software products from a single supplier.”

Editor's Welcome

Hello! And welcome back as we enter 2012, with a busy year ahead of us all. With talk of double-dip recessions, a possible partial or even full break-up of the Eurozone and unemployment rates set to hit nearly 9%, topics such as organisational streamlining, staff resilience and talent management are likely to be on many an HR professional's lips over the next 12 months.

But to lighten the gloom here in the UK, we also have the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and its attendant public holidays to look forward to at the start of June. Followed by two weeks of Olympic Games from 27 July to 12 August and the Paralympics from 29 August to 9 September, each generating their own excitement, but also issues to work through for hard-pressed HR departments trying to sort out the multifarious staffing issues in advance.

So with an interesting but challenging year to come, HRZone promises to be with you, supporting you all the way and providing our usual insightful blend of news, analysis, community blogs and expert comment to help you sort the wheat from the chaff. As ever, we love to hear from you too so feel free to either post your words of wisdom to our blog section yourself or, in the case of longer, more in-depth ‘expert voice’ articles, drop me a line with any ideas to cath.everett@siftmedia.co.uk.....
