Nuts about the cloud

European snack food manufacturer Lorenz Bahlsen Snack-World is heading into the Cloud to beef up its goal, performance and talent management programmes in parts of Europe.

The firm will be deploying SuccessFactors' Goal Management, Performance Management, Talent Tracker and Employee Profile to 500 of its senior managers in Germany and Poland. Lorenz Bahlsn, which manufactures 14 different branded snacks throughout Europe including the NicNacs nut snack, has more than 3,000 employees.

"We were looking for a solution to help us boost productivity and transparency, and enable us to better interact and communicate with our employees," said Katja Weinstock, HR Director Germany for Lorenz Bahlsen. adding that the Cloud-based offering was viewed as a management tool, not just as an HR or performance-related tool. “The ability to effectively communicate our goals and execute against them more successfully were of particular interest to our CEO. Our Works Council appreciates it as it gives staff an opportunity to capture and showcase their achievements.”
